Summary of Profile

Oyedepo, S.O is a Full Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Covenant University, Nigeria. He obtained Bachelor degree and Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Ilorin, Nigeria and University of Ibadan, Nigeria respectively. He obtained his Ph.D (Mechanical Engineering) degree from Covenant University, Nigeria. His PhD research work is on ‘Thermodynamic Performance Analysis of Selected Gas Turbine Power Plants in Nigeria’. Prof. Oyedepo has over 17 years research and teaching experience at University and Polytechnic levels. He has supervised over fifteen undergraduate projects and nine HND (Higher National Diploma) projects. He has published over 30 papers in national /international journals and conferences. His major contributions in the area of energy system and environmental noise is the publication of research and review papers in the leading journals, i.e., Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Energy Conversion and Management, Energy and Power Engineering, Energy Exploration & Exploitation, Environmental Monitoring Assessment and Journal of Environmental Studies(Taylor & Francis). The papers, especially published in Environmental Monitoring Assessment have been selected 25 hottest articles of the journals several times. He has 811 citations of his research work with H-index 15 and i10-index 19. Prof. Oyedepo is a Reviewer of more than 25 international journals on energy systems, environmental science and engineering, building technology etc. He is an Associate Editor for International Journal of Advanced Thermofluid Research (IJATR). His research interest includes but not limited to: Thermal System Design and Optimization, Energy management and Energy conversion systems, Exergy and Exergo-economic Analysis, Renewable Energy Technologies, Heat Transfer Analysis, Turbo-machinery, Noise Pollution Control etc. Prof. Oyedepo is a registered engineer in Nigeria and member of Nigerian Society of Engineers.
