Factors influencing adolescent sexual activity in Nigeria: analysis of the 1990 Demographic and Health Survey

Unmarried adolescents in Nigeria have become more sexually active over the past decade. Data are available from Nigeria's 1990 National Demographic and Health Survey for 1678 unmarried female adolescents aged 15-19 years. 1104 of these young women were unmarried at the time of the survey. 26.4% of the unmarried women were sexually active at the time of the survey, 67.5% of whom had unprotected...
