Summary of Profile

Joshua Olusegun OKENIYI is a Full Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering (COE), Covenant University, Ota, Nigeria. He obtained his Ph.D (2014) M.Sc (2005), B.Sc (1998) and N.Dip (1992) degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Covenant University, Ota, the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Obafemi Awolowo University (O.A.U), Ile-Ife, and Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, Nigeria, respectively. His areas of research interest include Corrosion Protection and Engineering; Numerical Designs and Modelling in Engineering, Renewable Energy systems and analysis, Mechanics of 3-D bodies. Presently, he has published peer-reviewed journals international and conference articles. He is a Registered Engineer with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and member professional bodies including the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), Nigeria Institute of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE), National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE International), The Minerals Metals and Materials Society (TMS). He is also a member of the South African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (SAIMM) and of Corrosion Institute of Southern Africa (CorrISA). He is also presently the Head of Department, Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering, Covenant University, Ota, Nigeria.
