Summary of Profile

Mrs. Opeyemi Christianah De Campos is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry. She obtained her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree and Master of Science degree (M.Sc.) degree in Biochemistry from Covenant University in the year 2011 and 2015 respectively. She is an alumni of University of Florida One Health programme obtained through United States Department of Defence scholarship in 2014. Her previous research experience involved the use of molecular techniques in elucidating genetic relationship and diversity among population samples in plants. Her present research involves elucidating the protective role and mode of action of medicinal plants in animal and Drosophila melanogaster models of metabolic-related diseases. She is open-minded and dedicated to a lifestyle of continuous learning and excellence. Mrs. Opeyemi De Campos is a member of the Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NSBMB), American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Biochemical Society, Graduate Women in Science and Africa Organization for Research and Training in Cancer.
