Summary of Profile

Dr. Adekoya, Joseph Adeyemi is a lecturer of Inorganic/Analytical Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, Covenant University. He has his PGD/M.Sc degrees from the Lagos State University, Lagos, and later obtained a Ph.D degree in Chemistry with specialization in Inorganic Chemistry (Nanochemistry and Nanotechnology) from Covenant University in 2014. His research Interest covers nano-inorganic synthesis, characterization and application of functionalized advance materials prepared by wet chemical method for device fabrication. In 2012 he won a visiting Predoctoral research fellowship through which he earned an existing collaboration with Prof. Neerish Revaprasadu, NRF/DST/SACHI Chair of Nanotechnology, South Africa at the University of Zululand, South Africa, He is also developing novel hybrid materials prepared from quantum dot doped bimetallic nanoparticles for application in direct alcohol fuel cells. Other interests include different hybrid nanoparticles with tunable and controllable morphological properties appropriate viz a viz; core-shell, segregated alloy or cluster-in-cluster formation for the design of nanocatalyst and nanosensor materials.
