Summary of Profile
Adedapo, Emmanuel Adebusayo is a graduate of University of Ilorin with B.Sc in Industrial Chemistry and had his M.Sc in Analytical Chemistry at University of Lagos, Lagos. He worked in a pharmaceutical industry in Nigeria as a chemical analyst for a period of 2 years to gain practical experience. There, he learnt several techniques in chemical analysis, research and development of pharmaceutical products. The industrial exposure further increases his quest to further understand the chemical composition, analysis and reactions of drugs. During the course of his masters training, he acquired skills in various chemical assays, chromatographic techniques, HPLC, and spectrometry. Outcomes of this study on remediation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon in contaminated soil using low molecular weight organic acids have been presented at the 35th Annual International Conference, Workshop and Exhibition of Chemical Society of Nigeria held in Warri, Nigeria. He is working on Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbon and Phthalate which are known to be carcinogenic, analytical and medicinal chemistry.. He is presently working on his Ph.D thesis titled, “Fate, Transport, Modeling and Effects of Dimethyl Sulphide and Methanethiol in Coastal Atlantic Seawaters” under the supervision of Dr. Nsikak U. Benson.
His research interest is Analytical and Environmental chemistry with a special focus on bioremediation and environmental monitoring. He has attended both international and local conferences some of which are CU- ICADI (Covenant University International Conference on African Development Issues) and the 7th Edition of the Annual Summit of the Ministry of Environment, Lagos State. He loves playing volleyball and reading.
He is currently a faculty of the university and presently pursing his PhD programme at Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria.
