Covenant Ranks 91st in 2020 THE Emerging Economies Rankings

God’s own University, Covenant, has once again broken the limit by rising from her former 151st ranking to 91st in the just released 2020 Emerging Economies Rankings (EER) by the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings (WUR).

Covenant was the only Nigerian institution and one of four African universities to make the top 100 in the 533-strong list. Other African institutions in the top 100 were the University of the Witwatersrand (11), Stellenbosch University (24), and University of KwaZulu-Natal (54).

The EER rankings came four months after Covenant recorded a similarly great improvement in her WUR by advancing from her former 601-800 ranking to 401-500.

Indeed Covenant had moved from glory to glory since she first got into the THE rankings. She had since been ranked in other ranking categories, which included the Young Universities Rankings, Impact Rankings, Millennial Rankings, the Subject Rankings, and the Reputation Rankings.

Chinese institutions occupied the top four places in the rankings, and China was also the most-represented country overall, with 81 institutions. Russia, Taiwan and South Africa were the only other territories that featured in the top 10.

Overall, 533 universities from 47 countries or regions were included in the rankings.

The new Emerging Economies ranking for Covenant was the latest testimony to her towering march in the bid to become one of the top 10 universities in the world in a few years’ time.

All glory belongs to Jesus!
