Covenant Ranked 2nd Among African Universities in Management Information Systems
Elsevier SciVal, the quick and easy access to the research performance of 8500 research institutions and 220 countries worldwide, has ranked Covenant University as the second best among African institutions in the field of Management Information Systems.
Covenant, with 67 publications, 151 authors and 1 citation, was second only to the University of Sfax (Tunisia). No other Nigerian university was in the top 20 of the rankings, with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, on the 29th spot, being the next ranked Nigerian institution.
To achieve this feat, Covenant overcame competition from institutions like the University of Johannesburg, University of Pretoria, and the University of Cape Town - all South African institutions - listed among the top 10 in Africa by the Times Higher Education Rankings, but ranked 4th, 8th and 11th respectively in the field of Management Information Systems.
