Covenant Programmes Maintain Full Accreditation Status

West Africa’s No. 1 University, Covenant, is the preferred destination for prospectiveundergraduates desirous of stability in their studentship and the acquisition of a degree in anyprogramme of their choice, as all the programmes run by the institution have full accreditation bythe National Universities Commission (NUC).

Accreditation of a programme is confirmation that the plan meets national quality assurance requirements, meets an established industry, enterprise, educational, legislative or community need, and provides appropriate competency outcomes and a basis for assessment.

Covenant has since inception ensured all her programmes have full accreditation by the NUC and professional bodies governing specific disciplines in conformity to her drive for excellence and the delivery of cutting edge education.

Presently, all 32 programmes run by Covenant have full accreditation status.

Accreditation is prestigious because it helps determine if an institution meets or exceeds minimum standards of quality. Employers often require evidence that applicants have received a degree from an accredited school or programme, and it helps employers determine eligibility for employee tuition reimbursement programmes.

As a benefit, accreditation protects the interests of students, their parents, the academic institutions, and potential employers, by ensuring that the educational programmes offered have attained a level that meets or exceeds standards that were developed by experts in the field.

In general, specialized accreditation attests to the quality of an educational programme that prepares for entry into a recognized profession.

The accredited Covenant University programmes are Accounting, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Relations & Human Resource Management, Marketing, English, Mass Communication, Psychology, Sociology, Demography & Statistics, Economics, International Relations, Policy & Strategic Studies, and Political Science.
